A third-generation Denverite, I graduated from Metropolitan State University with a bachelor’s degree in communications and journalism. After receiving my master’s degree at Clarion University in Pennsylvania, I returned to Colorado.

After a short period at The Denver Post newspaper, I worked in the media relations department for a professional baseball team. Although it was the lowest-paying job I ever had, the experience was priceless. Eventually, I left the world of sports and became an award-winning corporate writer and a copy editor for several years. Yes, I am the guy who mentally edits menus, billboards, magazines, web pages, and daily email news feeds.

I later moved to Highlands Ranch, where my two kids were born and raised.

A core principle for journalists is to inform and educate their readers. That is the same mantra I follow as a Realtor for my clients, to inform, educate, and, when possible, entertain them about real estate. I have lived by that since 2005.

  • I am a summer mountain man who loves to hike, camp, and backpack whenever I can in the Rocky Mountains or in the foothills. One of the many reasons I love Colorado.
  • I am part of a rare and informal group. I was a full-time single dad to my two young kids, who are now adults. It was the most demanding and by far the most fulfilling part of my life.
  • A longtime fitness and nutrition fan, I competed for several years in natural bodybuilding competitions that were free of steroids and testosterone. No Pizza Hut, Three Musketeers, or Dairy Queen Blizzards during those long months of strict training.
  • I am softhearted for anything related to Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and the Peanuts gang. My favorite possession is a jean jacket with the entire Peanuts gang embroidered on the back, given to me by a client.
  • I enjoy many kinds of music, but I am devoted to classic rock. I melt when listening to female singers in any style. My favorites include Heart, Alanis Morissette, Nelly Furtado, Olivia Newton-John, Dido, Norah Jones, and many more.
